The family is called Lindström and they have been owner of the company until 2023 when Orkla Confectionery & Snacks bought Bubs. Why BUBS? The name comes from the initials, Bernt, Ulrik, Birgitta and Stefan. Together, they have been the driving force in making BUBS a well-known and beloved brand.
BUBS Candy is a Swedish candy company based in Jönköping and have been making candy here since the early 1990s. Our motivation has always been playfulness – daring to mix, test and taste our way to candy that creates smiles. To help us, we have a state-of-the-art, climate-smart candy factory that we are very proud of. It allows us to really challenge the candy industry in our own unique way.

When will my favorite candy be back on the shelves?
We sell all the sweets we produce at a rapid pace. This means that sometimes certain items are missing from the shelf in the store. We are currently prioritizing to primarily produce the best-selling favourites, for example the Raspberry Licorice Skull and Banana Bubs. We are working hard to expand the capacity of our candy factory in Jönköping after the enormous interest, but it will take a few months.
Hang in there, we're producing candy around the clock so that everyone's favorites will be back on the shelf soon!
